Privacy policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
BCI.BASE (published by Cigcola Advertising Inc.) follows British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for the Brief or for updates.
- A record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the date and time, which form you used, and your country (from your connection, not your exact location).
- Anonymous, cookie-free page statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics. These do not identify you.
Why we collect it
To send you the BCI.BASE Brief and updates you asked for, and to prove your consent as CASL requires. We do not sell or rent your information.
Where it is stored
Signups are stored with Cloudflare, and our email platform will be Brevo. These providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States or the EU, where local laws may give authorities access to it.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that, we keep only a minimal unsubscribe record so we never email you again.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to hello@bcibasehq.com. We reply within 30 days.
Third-party embeds
Some parts of the site (for example the X timeline) are served by third parties, who apply their own privacy policies.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date below.
